Spades: Problems, challenges, delays, frustrations, loneliness, anger, secrets, mysteries, sickness, negative emotions, force, movement, karma, and the mind.
The Queen: A woman over 18 years of age.
How to Read the Queen of Spades:
Traditionally, the Queen of Spades represents an ambitious, skillful, intelligent woman. In the reversed position, or surrounded by unfavorable cards, she becomes clever, conniving and plotting.
The court cards of the Suit of Spades are perhaps the most symbolic of the deck. The cards surrounding the Queen will offer clues as to which meanings apply.
In coloring, the Suit of Spades is considered the darkest of the deck. People with dark brown to black hair, and dark brown eyes are represented by the Suit of Spades.
The Queen of Spades can represent:
- A woman from a foreign country
- A divorced or widowed woman
- A professional woman such as a doctor or lawyer
- An old woman
- A woman who allows her head to rule her heart
- A leader who knows how to take charge
When surrounded by other Spades, the Queen of Spades can be:
- spiteful and catty
- Cold and calculating
- A Gossip
- A rival in love or business
- Emotionally controlled and detached
Card Combinations & Multiples:
Queen + Jack: an old female friend or girlfriend is returning to the seeker’s life. With the Q♠ she could be an old rival returning.
Two Queens: sharing confidences, rivalry, or gossip.
Three Queens: a group of female friends, a night out with the girls.
Four Queens: Girl’s school, sorority, any organization consisting of mostly women.
